Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2025
At LinkHarbor, accessible at linkharbor.com, we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our service. While we use Paddle for payment processing, LinkHarbor operates as an independent service with its own systems and data practices.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account and use our services.
This includes your name, email address, and any affiliate links or settings you configure.
We also gather details about how you use our service, including link check history, click analytics, and account activity.
We collect your affiliate link URLs solely for the purpose of checking their status and providing you with alerts.
We do not access, store, or analyze the content of the pages your links point to. We only verify that the links return a valid HTTP response.
2. Types of Personal Data
Name and email address
Affiliate link URLs you add to your account
Link check results and status history
Click tracking data (anonymous IP addresses, timestamps, user agents)
Account settings and preferences
Payment information managed securely by Paddle (we do not store payment details)
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your information based on the following:
To fulfill our agreement with you and deliver the service you subscribed to
To pursue legitimate business interests such as improving the platform and preventing abuse
To comply with legal obligations
With your consent when required by law
4. How Your Information Is Used
We use your information to operate and improve our services.
This includes checking the status of your affiliate links daily, sending email alerts when links break, tracking clicks on your links (if you use our redirect service), managing your account, and sending service notifications.
We store link check results and click data to provide you with historical analytics and insights.
We do not sell, rent, or share your affiliate link URLs with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Automated Link Checking
Our system automatically checks your affiliate links daily (or more frequently for Pro users) by sending HTTP requests to verify link status.
We use a clearly identified bot user agent: 'LinkHarbor-Bot/1.0 (+https://linkharbor.com/bot)'
We respect robots.txt directives where applicable.
We rate-limit our checks to avoid overloading any servers (maximum 1 request per link per check cycle).
Link check results are stored in your account to allow you to view historical data and trends.
6. Click Tracking and Redirect Service
If you choose to use our optional bio page feature, we provide short redirect URLs (e.g., linkharbor.com/c/abc123) that track clicks before redirecting to your affiliate links.
When someone clicks your redirect link, we collect:
• Anonymous IP address (hashed for privacy)
• Timestamp of click
• Referring page (if available)
• User agent (browser/device type)
We do not collect personally identifiable information about people who click your links.
This data is used solely to provide you with click analytics and is not shared with third parties.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
Account information: Retained while your account is active
Link check history: Retained for up to 12 months to provide analytics
Click tracking data: Retained for up to 6 months
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at brilliant@jolexhive.com. Upon account deletion, we will remove all personal data within 30 days, though some data may be retained in backup archives for up to 90 days.
8. Data Security
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:
• All data transmissions are encrypted using SSL/TLS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We use secure hosting providers with strong security practices
• Regular security audits and updates
While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Sharing Information
We do not sell your data to third parties.
We may share your information with service providers that help us operate our platform:
• Paddle (payment processing)
• Railway/Vercel (hosting services)
• Email service providers (for sending alerts)
These providers are contractually required to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and to protect the confidentiality of your data.
We may share your information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.
We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
10. International Transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. Your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
